Spaghetti Sauce

Tomato Spaghetti Sauce

1 tablespoon olive oil
1 medium onion, chopped finely
3 cloves garlic, crushed
2 cans chopped tomatoes (plain, unseasoned)
1 tablespoon fresh thyme or 1 teaspoon dried
1 tablespoon fresh oregano or 1 teaspoon dried
2 tablespoons sweet chilli sauce
1 teaspoon sugar
30 grams butter

Heat the oil in a large saucepan, then add the onion and garlic and cook, stirring, until soft and translucent.

Add the tomatoes, herbs, sauce and sugar. Bring to the boil and then turn the heat right down and simmer for about 20 to 30 minutes, until the sauce is thick.

Stir in butter just before serving.
